Hideaki Maki was born in 1971 and graduated from the Aichi University of
Graduate School of Fine Arts. In 2009, he participated in a workshop led by
Yuji SAIGA (photographer). His works shed light on relationships between the
natural and the artificial, hints of passing time and the deeds of
humankind, as well as the boundaries of the ordinary and the extraordinary,
which usually lie hidden in our everyday lives. His creative journey to
explore his own style of photography continues. He is awarded an honorable
mention in the Canon New Cosmos of Photography 2016.
